Phoebe Lynch

Phoebe brings her experience as an Education Consultant for New Alternatives for Children (NAC) to My Learning Springboard.? At NAC, Phoebe works with children ranging from zero to 12 years of age.? Her role there involves advocating on behalf of children with special needs.? In addition, she works closely with school personnel, the Committee on Special Education (CSE), and parents to write Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to their child?s needs.

Prior to NAC, Phoebe received a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and went on to earn a Masters of Education from Bank Street College in both general and special education. Following her undergraduate work, she spent several years in the entertainment industry including time with CBS, UPN and Jim Henson. The corporate world helped foster a focused and analytical approach to solving problems that she applies in her current role as an education consultant.

Phoebe enjoys using her expertise to help younger children and their parents and believes in making use of early intervention programs to bring about positive change in their lives. In addition, she coaches parents on the options available to their child. Phoebe understands how difficult it can be to navigate the Committee on Preschool Special Education and the Committee on Special Education and she tries to empower parents so that they can get the most appropriate services available for their child.

Phoebe spent parts of her childhood in both Massachusetts and Australia where she learned to surf and sail. Since moving to New York, she enjoys exploring various neighborhoods and spending time with friends and family.
